1:1 Breathwork with Chris Valdheims
For entrepreneurs and creatives who want to do bigger things and keep waiting until they feel like they've figured everything out.
Does any of this sound familiar?
You welcome a challenge.
And there's something bigger you want to do, whether it's a new business or a book or something else that feels powerful, vulnerable, and visible. You know that there's a version of you that's larger than the one you've been running. And you've known this for a long while.
You've read the books and made plans. You've done therapy, journaling, meditation, and you've actually learned the patterns and the problem really well. You're an expert on what needs to change.
But for some weird reason, you can't seem to make the thing happen…
You can't think your way out of a body problem, yet that's what so many of us try to do. It's the natural move.
But…the thing that's stopping you from stepping into the bigger version of yourself doesn't live in your head. It lives in your body, in your nervous system, in the part of you that decided a long time ago what was safe and what wasn't. So, as long as you keep trying to figure things out in the mind, you never get there.
You understand the pattern and want to see it change, yet it still runs unhindered. Whew.
Say, what does breathwork do about that?
Breathwork takes us beyond the mind and into the body, where we can make change happen.
The practice we do is simple and powerful. You lie down, you breathe in a specific pattern, and I guide you the whole way.
No experience needed, no special beliefs, and you definitely don't need to worry about "getting it right."
But it reaches where thinking can't. Using conscious, connected breathing, you move past the mind and work directly with the body and the nervous system. That's where the old decisions live.
And that's where we go when we want to move things.
A little about myself so you know
I've been a practicing attorney for creatives for 13 years. And for most of them, I believed that if I could figure enough out, plan enough, learn enough, I'd eventually be ready to play bigger.
I'd felt ready to move into my own creative power, and I wanted to move past the persona I had developed around being a lawyer. The creative person I'd been before law school didn't fit the persona. So I put him away, and that left me feeling unexpressed. I loved my job as a lawyer, but I had a lot more to say.
Breathwork took me beyond what I knew, and it blew the hinges off the person I thought I was. In a session, my body showed me my patterns and how to let go. And after those sessions, I started making visual art again. There was no plan. It just became possible.
I've since trained as a certified, trauma-informed breathwork facilitator so I can safely guide others through the same experience. I still practice law. I still make art. And I know the high-achiever brain from the inside, because I have one.
I just want to share this technique with you so that you can tap into greater creative power.
Two hours on Zoom. We talk first about what's going on for you and what you want to shift. Then you lie down, and I guide you through the breathing for about 45 to 60 minutes, with activating and restorative phases. Then we talk again and make sense of what came up.
You leave with something concrete to take into your week.
I want to be honest with you here, because I'd want someone to be honest with me. This technique is super powerful and induces a non-ordinary state of consciousness that allows us to interact with ourselves deeply and authentically.
Your body might do things. Tingling, heat, waves of emotion. You might laugh, cry, or both. Some people have big releases. Some people just drop into a stillness they haven't felt in years.
All of it is your body doing what it knows how to do once you get out of the way. In these sessions, we create and hold space for all of the ways that your body accesses its innate healing intelligence.
And I'm with you the entire time.
One 2-hour session on Zoom, at a founding first-session rate. Before we meet, I'll email you a few questions and check in about anything health-related I should know. Then we pick a time, and we breathe.
Book your first sessionBreathwork is safe for most people, but there are a few health conditions for which it isn't the right fit. We'll go over that before we meet, so nothing to worry about now.
Not sure yet? Book a Creative Catalyst Conversation, free, and we'll talk it through. We can go over breathwork, or any other tools and practices you might use to make your dreams real. No pressure to book a session afterwards.
Much love, Chris
